Research Internships and Fellowships

HERMES provides paid internships and credit-based practicum experience for motivated and talented students from local universities. Internships require strong a commitment to complete a project. Most internships involve the a minimum of 280 hours (2 months) either completed part-time during the school year or full-time during the summer. Multi-year internships and fellowships involve close collaboration with academic advisors to determine an appropriate research project scope and academic credit. Some funding may be available to cover tuition along with a stipend.

Interns and Fellows gain specific research skills and practical experience while contributing to public health research projects. We also recognize their contribution to our team efforts through opportunities to travel, present research findings, and joint authorship on publications. Their success is our success and hopefully can lead to their joining our team permanently or future collaborative work.

HERMES frequently engages short and long-term consultants. Consulting opportunities may arise to fill a need for specific work on existing projects or during the development of proposals.
